Hrković derives from Zaharka or Zachariah (Hrk 225). In our opinion, the etymon of the anthroponym base "Zar-" is actually hidden in the patronymic Zarіn, which is related to the personal name Zara, meaning 'star' or 'dawn.'Thus, the name Zara symbolizes beauty and light associated with stars and dawn.
