The name Yaroshko was also used in Poland in the 15th century. Its recorded form "Nobilis Iaroslaus alias Iaroszco de Crzepernecz" (SSNO II 449) unequivocally indicates its etymological affiliation with the name group of Yaroslav. In 1649, two individuals with the name Yaroshko were recorded in Cossack registries, which is a diminutive formation derived from Yarosh (Ostapі Ind. 516).
