Name «Yarmosh»

The name 'Yarmosh' may be a truncated-suffix formation from the Slavic name Yaromir or from the calendar name of Greek origin Hermolaus or Yarmolai. There are known to be six individuals with this name recorded in the Cossack registers of 1649, including the Cossack from the Pryluky regiment Yarmosh Tryznienko.
