Name «Vydybor»

The name "Vydybor" is derived from the name of the village Vydybor, located near Chernykhiv in the Zhytomyr region. It is known that the name was mentioned in records, specifically in D. Buchko's writings from 1598 (Buchko Ancient Ukrainian 5). This name is clearly formed from the anthropo-base "vydity" (to see) and the noun "bor" (pine forest).
