Name «Tsenko»

The name "Tsenko" is a South Slavic diminutive variant of the name "Cenko," which has a colloquial equivalent "Ceno." Both variants derive from the full name "Tsvetan."The first recordings of this name in Ukrainian territories have been documented in Transcarpathia. For example, in 1484, the name "Cynko" is mentioned in the village of Petrovo (source: Szabó, p. 450), and in 1567, "Rayttko Czenko" is noted in the village of Vorota (source: ChuPrizv., p. 591). Additionally, the patronymic "Cenkowics" can be found in 1605 in the village of Kelechin (source: Belay, p. 162).
