Name «Shust»

The name "Shust" has a nickname origin and is still used in Poland to mean 'tremor, rustle, noise' (Rymut II 561). In Ukraine, it was first mentioned in 1585, but already in the form of a surname: Marcus Sust - the village of Krychovo (Belay 170) or in 1592: Hel. Süzt (Belay 133). In 1707, it was recorded: Gerasim Shustyak - the village of Dragovo (Pan Po II 14).To confirm that the lexeme "Shust" was indeed used as a personal name in Ukraine, we can also mention a Zakarpattia record from the 18th century: in 1682: Susta Prokup - the village of Simirky (Chu Prizv. 637). The anthroponym "Szust" has been documented in Poland since 1303 (Rymut II 561), and in Serbia in the 15th century, the name NeShust was recorded (Grk 141).
