Name «Moiata»

The personal name "Moiata" is linked to the name of the village Moyatyny, which is located in the Moldavian principality. In a document from 1437, it is mentioned: "...another settlement near Moyatyny, where the rosebushes grow" - from the city of Suceava (SSUM I 618). It is possible that the root part of the name is the possessive pronoun "moy" ('my') with the suffix "-ata".
