Name «Horun»

The name Horun is derived using the suffix -un from the personal name Hora. The earliest records of the name date back to the 15th-16th centuries. Notably, in 1439, the entry "Stephan filius Horun" is recorded (AGZ XI 1202); in 1430, there is a record of "Horun Iakowecz" (AGZ XI 404); and in 1565, "Stanisław Horun" appears (OK3P I 200). The form "Го-рунецъ" is also found (ЛСХ 137).
