Name «Halesh»

The name 'Halesh' may be related to the name 'Galet', which has the qualitative suffix '-esh'. According to historical sources, in 1490 it was mentioned: "where Galet was" - in the city of Suceava, and in 1499 - "I granted... the son of Hale-tov" - in the city of Hirlov. These records indicate the use of these names during that period.
