The name "Drahna" is the feminine counterpart of the masculine name "Drahno," which, in turn, is equivalent to South Slavic masculine names such as Dragomir, Dragoslav, and others. The earliest written mention of the feminine name Drahna in Ukraine dates back to 1495: "brother Androushko and their sister Drahna" (city of Suceava). Today, the name Drahna is used among Bulgarians and Serbs.
