In the Upper Tisa basin, a serf named "Dobroch" is noted in 1417, and in 1605, in the village of Dibrava in Transcarpathia, a serf named "Dobrjcz" is recorded. As an independent masculine name, the lexeme "Dobriša" is used among Croats and Serbs.
