Name «Vuinyk»

The male name Vuinyk is mentioned twice in the Registers of the Zaporizhian Army of 1649 as a Cossack from the Bratslav Regiment, Vuinyk Dytryenko, and Vuinyk Khrapenko from the Kalnytskyi Regiment. It is likely that the name Vuinyk is a phonetic variant of the name Voynyk.
