Name «Haina»

It is presumably the folk form of the canonical name Gaia (Greek: Γαΐανή). It is suggested that the name has both Greek origins (from Greek: γαῖα — "earth") and Semitic origins, and in Slavic countries, it may be perceived as derived from "hay."
